This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use PDF Quant: Editor & Manager. By using this app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
PDF Quant: Editor & Manager is designed to work entirely offline. All file operations — including PDF compression, merging, splitting, page deletion, image-to-PDF conversion, and PDF-to-image conversion — are performed locally on your device. We do not upload your files or personal documents to any server. The information the app stores, entirely on your own device, includes: • App settings (theme preference) stored locally via 'shared_preferences' • Recent Documents History: the names and file paths of PDFs you create or modify, stored locally so you can find them again in the app. This list never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time (see Section 12). • Ad-related identifiers collected by Google AdMob (see Section 4) Photo/Image Access: When you use the Image to PDF feature, the app uses Android's system Photo Picker ('image_picker' v1.1.2+) to let you select photos from your device gallery. This uses the Android Photo Picker API, which does not require broad media storage permissions. The selected images are processed entirely on your device and are NEVER uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us. Document Printing: When you use the print feature, the app uses the 'printing' package to send your document to your device's print system. This data is handled by your device's print spooler or connected printer service — not by us. We do NOT upload, transmit, or have remote access to: • Your PDF file contents • Location data • Contact details, email addresses, or phone numbers • Photos or images beyond what you explicitly select for conversion
All PDF operations (merge, split, compress, image to PDF, PDF to image, page delete) occur entirely on your device: • Files are NOT uploaded to any server • Files are NOT stored by us • Temporary files are automatically deleted after processing • We have NO access to your documents at any time
PDF Quant: Editor & Manager requests the following permissions and uses these services: • Image Selection: We use Android's system Photo Picker (via 'image_picker') to allow you to select photos to convert into PDF. On Android 13 and above, this uses the Android Photo Picker API — no broad storage or media permissions are required. These images are processed locally on your device and are NEVER uploaded to our servers. • PDF File Access: We use the Storage Access Framework (system file picker) via 'file_picker' to let you select PDF files. No broad storage permissions are required on modern Android. • PDF Printing: We use a printing service to allow you to preview and print your documents. Note that your document data may be passed through your device's system print spooler or a third-party print application if configured on your device. We have no control over third-party print applications. • Internet: Required for Google AdMob to display advertisements. • Advertising ID (AD_ID): Automatically used by Google AdMob for ad delivery and measurement. You can reset or opt out via Android Settings → Google → Ads. Note: This app uses system-managed pickers (Android Photo Picker and Storage Access Framework) to select images and PDFs. We do NOT request or use broad 'READ_MEDIA_IMAGES', 'READ_MEDIA_VIDEO', or general 'READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE' permissions. On older Android devices (API 29 and below), the app may request 'WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE' solely to ensure files can be saved correctly; this permission is not requested on modern Android versions. All permissions are used strictly for the stated purpose only.
